Squishy toys Ride San Diego Roller Coaster Amid COVID-19

Squishy toys Ride San Diego Roller Coaster Amid COVID-19

June 4 (UPI) - A San Diego amusement park that needs to keep an exciting ride running each day regardless of the coronavirus lockdown has selected some strange travelers insusceptible to the infection - soft toys.

Belmont Park in Mission Beach said The Giant Dipper exciting ride has been shut to guests since mid-March because of the COVID-19 pandemic, yet it despite everything needs to run each day to keep the hardware in great working request.

Park authorities said the upkeep team became sick of running the napkin without travelers, so a week ago they chose to stack the 95-year-old ride up with squishy toys.

The napkin is currently running on different occasions a day with its vehicles loaded up with soft toys that once in the past filled in as prizes for the recreation center's games.

"We need to keep the napkin running every day, so why not have a ton of fun with it," Steve Thomas, the recreation center's senior supervisor, told the San Diego Union-Tribune. "Individuals are adoring it. We've seen huge amounts of recordings and pictures that individuals have been posting on the web."

Thomas said a portion of the plush toys may stay as social separating cradles once the recreation center revives.
